Conference to summarize activities of 2024, implement tasks for 2025, and celebrate the Spring of the Year of the Snake - Conference on Scientific Research on Southeast Asia - Vietnam.
On March 5, 2025, at the Office of the Southeast Asia - Vietnam Scientific Research Association, 12-14 Le Thanh Tong, Phan Chu Trinh, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, the Southeast Asia - Vietnam Scientific Research Association held a conference to summarize activities of 2024, implement tasks for 2025, and celebrate the Spring of the Year of the Snake with member organizations and units of SEARAV
Attending the conference were Dr. Pham Thanh Tinh – Chairman of the Association; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa – Vice Chairman and General Secretary; MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Thang – Vice Chairman; members of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee of the Association, along with leaders and members of the units and organizations under the Southeast Asia - Vietnam Scientific Research Association.

In his opening speech at the conference, Dr. Pham Thanh Tinh – Chairman of the Association expressed profound gratitude to the individuals and units that have actively contributed to the development of the Association in 2024. At the same time, Dr. Pham Thanh Tinh emphasized: Although the domestic and global situation has experienced many fluctuations, difficulties, and challenges that have significantly impacted the implementation of political and ideological tasks, as well as the lives of officials, employees, and collaborators of the units under the Association, the Association continues to promote comprehensive innovation in all areas of activity, especially in organization, scientific research, and international cooperation. We have witnessed significant progress in our work, achieving many successes and establishing sustainable, positive relationships. These are solid foundations for us to enter 2025 with determination, hope, and new objectives.
The year 2025 has arrived, bringing new opportunities and challenges. This is an occasion for us to look towards the future together, setting new goals and striving to complete the plans and strategies outlined. Certainly, with a determined working spirit and mutual support, we will continue to reap many successes, further strengthening the Southeast Asia - Vietnam Scientific Research Association.
Dr. Pham Thanh Tinh respectfully requested the representatives to focus on researching, exchanging, and discussing matters related to the Association's work and that of their units based on the achievements attained. Through this, we can share effective and innovative practices to enhance the quality of the Association's activities in the upcoming period.

On behalf of the Association's leadership, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa – Vice Chairman and General Secretary presented the Report on the Summary of Work in 2024 and the Direction for Tasks in 2025. The report summarized the results of the work tasks accomplished in 2024, evaluated the achievements and limitations, and identified the causes of these limitations through the following work areas: activities of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, and the Association's office; direction, inspection, and monitoring of activities; external relations, domestic and international cooperation; notable activities of the Association and its affiliated units in 2024; work on emulation and commendation, discipline, and handling complaints and denunciations; and the Association's financial work.

In 2024, with the determination of the entire leadership of the Association, the members of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, leaders, officials, members, and collaborators of the units under the Southeast Asia - Vietnam Scientific Research Association aimed to effectively complete the Association's tasks, focusing on innovative leadership, direction, and management across all aspects in a specific, practical, and effective manner.
Building on the traditions and achievements gained in 2024, all officials and members of the Association and its affiliated units are committed to striving to effectively implement the objectives and tasks outlined in the work plan for 2025.
The conference received numerous contributions from delegates, evaluating the strengths and limitations in the work of 2024, along with suggestions and recommendations for the direction and tasks of the Association in 2025.

On behalf of the Association's leadership, Dr. Pham Thanh Tinh – President of the Association thanked the delegates for their support and solidarity, acknowledging their contributions at the conference. He affirmed the spirit of unity among the leadership, Standing Committee, Executive Committee, leaders of affiliated units, and all officials and members in fulfilling all Association tasks. He also stated that in 2025, the Association will continue to maximize its inherent strengths and achievements to develop both in scale and quality. Dr. Pham Thanh Tinh emphasized that no matter how many difficulties and challenges lie ahead, we will always unite, strive, and innovate together to achieve outstanding results in our work. Each member of every organization will play an important role in promoting the development and prosperity of their unit, contributing to the Association's growth.
A special highlight of the conference for the summary and the Spring meeting of the Year of the Snake was the ceremony for the issuance of the Executive Committee membership cards (term 2023-2028) and the first batch of membership cards for members of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, and leaders representing the affiliated units and organizations under the Association.

The Conference for the Summary and Spring Meeting of the Year of the Snake concluded in a warm atmosphere filled with love and connection among organizations, members, and participants. The exchange of New Year's greetings, handshakes, and bright smiles fostered a spirit of unity, adding energy for the Southeast Asian Scientific Research Association as it embarks on the promising year of 2025.
